Killian is my friend...I like Killian

This was our conversation on the way to school this morning...

"Tyler is not my friend. Tyler pushes my in the back with a fork. I don't like Tyler."

(Well Mommy and Daddy don't like Tyler either...he sounds like a little bully...This is not the firs time she has said things about Tyler)

"Killlian is my friend. Killian does not push me. I like Killian"

(We like Killian too!)

She is growing up so fast...

Sitting up on her own for several minutes now...long enough for me to snap lots of cute pictures of her with her big gummy smile. No teeth yet!

When I went to check on her during nap time this is what I saw. She is growing so fast, not just sleeping on her back anymore like little babies do...She is rolling over and sleeping on her side...next will be her tummy....It seems like just yesterday she was born.

Addison's 6 month well child

What baby does not love sweet potatoes? Applesauce was another story...

I was off yesterday to take Addison to her Well Child appt. We got professional pictures taken in the morning and then headed home for a nap and to the Dr. in the afternoon. Here is what we learned...

  • 15 lbs 2 oz- 25%

  • 26 1/2 inches- 75%
  • It is normal for her to be waking up at 2, 3 or 4 in the morning...Breastfed babies can only go 6-8 hours at a time at this age...so basically I need to get up and feed her--ugg...will I ever sleep again?

  • She is saying Dada which is a 9 month skill...Dr. said her social, language and gross motor skills are very advanced!
  • She is almost the exact same size as Lauren was a this age. Lauren was 15 lbs 7 oz and 26 1/4 inches long.

I can't wait to get her pictures back. We had them taken at JC Penney's so it will be a few weeks before we get them.

Easter Weekend

We spent the Easter weekend in Omaha. It was a very quick trip. Up on Saturday morning and back on Sunday afternoon. Lauren had a blast with her cousins and Addison was full of smiles for everyone. It took Lauren over an hour to warm up to her cousins. After that she had so much fun running, playing, and watching movies.

Pretty Easter dresses...I am getting professional pictures of Addison taken on Thursday. Her 6 month pictures.

Aunt Chris took a great picture of our family. We don't have a lot of good ones of the 4 of us. Thanks Aunt Chris!

Having fun outside running, laughing, and playing with all her cousins...

Look at all my eggs Mommy...Yea to Aunt Chris for getting all the eggs ready for the Easter Bunny to hide for the kids. They all really loved to Easter egg hunt.

Lauren, Emma, Kate, Rae Ann and Nathan...

Don't let that smile fool you! Lauren is so much fun these days. It is so awesome watching her and Addison interact and "talk." Addison just adores watching Lauren and Lauren can really get her laughing and smiling. It just melts our heart...

Easter Eggs and Disney on Ice

Sunday afternoon we colored Easter eggs with Lauren. She really had fun watching the eggs change colors and dropping them into the cups and watching the water splash everywhere.

Addison just hung out in her highchair after she finished her dinner. She played with the toys and just watched us coloring eggs. She is such a laid back easy going baby.

Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice Saturday afternoon with my co-worker Aimee and her daughter Sydney. Lauren had a lot of fun when we first got there and enjoyed her sno cone in the Aerial cup. We walked around and looked at all the "junk" that we could have bought. All Lauren wanted was the Aerial cup...yea for Mommy.
After the show started Lauren instantly started crying and saying she wanted to go home. The show was very loud and there were some very scary parts...for example the huge Irsela that came out. For those of you that don't know Irsela she is the witch in The Little Mermaid.

So she sat on my lap most of the show with her head buried in my shoulder. During the Aerial part of the show she got off my lap and danced a little, clapped, and laughed and smiled. It was really fun watching her.
After the show she told me that she did not want to go see the Princesses again. "I'm scared of the princesses mommy." So maybe next year.
