$1225
That was my profit from my Baby Garage Sale this past weekend. Plus, my friend Aimee made another $200. I really don't know how I made that much...I guess we just really got rid of ALOT of stuff.
These first two pictures are the before pictures. Notice all the big things? We put those out on the driveway to attract people!
These are the after pictures. Still a lot of clothes left, but all the big things are GONE! Sold...except the TV and Bumbo chair. I am going to so a consignment sale at the end of August to get rid of the fall/winter clothes. I hope to make another $300-$500 at that sale!
The girls did a pretty good job of entertaining themselves Saturday morning when we had the sale. Lauren begged to stay home with me on Thursday, but I knew she would get pretty bored pretty fast. Saturday morning started out with rain, so the sale started out pretty slow. We ended up staying open a few more hours than we expected since the neighbors were having a sale too and there were tons of people still coming.
Sunday morning I spent cleaning up the garage. Mark needed to mow the front and the back lawn so I was supposed to be watching the girls. Actually, I did very little. They entertained themselves with a cooler, melted ice, and bottled water for well over an hour. They were soaked and they had a blast!
I am so happy about the profits from the garage sale. We have already purchased a new patio set for the deck. It is a couch and 2 chairs and a coffee table. We are also going to buy a new behind the couch table for the living room from IO Metro, a very cool, modern furniture store in Lee's Summit. We are also going to finally get the new lens that I have been wanting on my camera. And still, there should be more money to spend after the consignment sale in August!

Commerce Day at the K
Every year we go, and every year we love it! This year the Royals played the Cubs so Mark was in heaven. Here we are in 2010 and 2009. It is always super hot each year, and well this year was too! It doesn't seem to matter though...we still have fun.
Addison loved seeing Slugger at the picnic...Lauren was hiding under the table!
Lauren and Killian, ready for the game.
Mark won this hat at the picnic...Lauren loved wearing it.
My best attempt at all 4 kids. Charley and Addison, Killian and Lauren.
After the picnic, we headed into the stadium. We stopped in the gift shop to cool off and then hit the playground. Commerce provided an unlimited pass for the kids in the outfield experience and we had fun.
These three raced probably 10 times. It was so adorable...especially seeing little Addison trying to keep up with the big kids.
We had to get sno cones...we do every year!
Lauren totally loves baseball. She watches the game, cheers and claps, sings the songs, and is a huge fan!
Charley played musical chairs throughout the game. She had a lot of fun too!
Then it was Addison's turn to wear the hat. I love it!

What happened to June?
I can't believe it is the last weekend in June. We have been so busy this month that I have hardly posted anything!
Landen came in town to visit. He stayed with us all day Sunday while his parents went to the races. Lauren and Zoe were watching for him...at 6:30 in the morning. Lauren was up, dressed, and so excited for Landen.
They played outside a lot that day...this was at 7 in the morning...outside talking. So sweet.
Addison insisted on wearing rain boots.
Our cousins were in town the first weekend in June as well. They stopped by for a few hours on Sunday morning to play before heading to the Royals game. It was so much fun.
We have enjoyed the slip and slide...
and playing outside a lot.
I love watching the girls entertain themselves on Saturday mornings...still in their jammies and wearing my shoes!
We went to the Farmers Market and got lots of great vegetables.
We had a garage sale that was a huge success (more on that later.)
The girls enjoyed a picnic lunch right in the kitchen.
Oh, and I love summer fruit.

Father's Day 2011
I think I brag enough on the blog how incredible Mark is as a father. He does not need Father's Day as a reminder. He is amazing with the girls, completely involved in every element of their life, and loves everything about being a Dad (except cleaning up Addison's poop in her big girl panties!)
We planted a tree for each girl the summer that they were born (Lauren in 2006 and Addison in 2008.) It is a tradition to take pictures each year on Father's Day in front of their trees. We can see how both girls have grown, and their trees as well. Here is Father's Day in 2010, 2009, 2008.
When Lauren is in the mood to pose for pictures she is like a model. I love capturing good pictures of her. Addison is always in the mood. She always has a smile for Mommy.
I am so amazed at how beautiful these girls are. Our girls. Beautiful.
We topped the day off with a T-Bones game. It was a surprise to Mark and we all had a blast. Addison was completely content on the playground swinging. Lauren watched the game with Mark, ate hot dogs, cotton candy, and cooled off with some lemonade. It was so hot out there.
The girls and I made mosaic stepping stones for Mark. Addison put her hand print in and Lauren her foot print. Mark loved them. I also got him an ESPN book he wanted and some Crown Royal (for his accomplishment the day before!)
Happy Father's Day Mark. You are the most incredible father to our girls. I know that they will always treasure the time you spend with them. Teaching, playing, reading, bathing, mowing, relaxing, rocking, disciplining, redirecting, limit setting, and always being there for them. We love you.
