Mark asked me when I was going to blog again? Has it been that long? Fall is here and we are so busy. School is back in session, homework each night, Girl Scouts, Religion class, and dance class keep us busy as week. Oh, and we almost bought a house. Well, built a house. We went out looking, just to see what was out there. We stumbled upon a beautiful house in the perfect neighborhood and the perfect price. However, the timing of everything was just not meant to be (put our house on the market on October 1st and hope it sells this fall, but not too early because we don't want to be living in a hotel for Christmas, and on and on and on...) We spent many late nights looking at all the possible scenarios and just decided to stay put...for now at least.
We enjoyed a great night at the Hoke's house...they were convincing us off all the reasons why we needed to move into their neighborhood.
I found a new beer that I love...and Denise did too! She drank it in less than 5 minutes, I swear!
We had Girl Scout night at the roller skating rink. Lauren has gotten really good.
Addison insisted on skating, but didn't go far.
Lauren and I went to see the One Direction movie...finally. She had to earn it back after loosing it 2 weekends in a row.
We hit Ms. Pat's church carnival...like we do every year. We love it!
Crazy Addison and I did a little shopping one week after church.
Lauren apparently really loves Louis, from One Direction. (If you see her, don't bring up this letter. She would be very embarrassed.)
I finally went to the Doctor to get my hip looked at. The x-ray was normal. Basically I have bursitis (inflammation and swelling of the fluid filled sac between my muscle, tendons, and joints.) When I asked the Dr. how long it would take to heal he said "however long it takes." When I asked him when I can run again, he said "when it doesn't hurt." When I asked him what activities I can do until I can run again, he said "whatever doesn't cause any pain." Well, thanks Doc. So....I am still resting, no running, no cardio, not even lifting lower body. When I carried Addison on my back recently, that made my hip hurt the next morning. So I wait...patiently.
Dance class is adorable. I will try and snap a picture of Lauren next week. Addison loves it (she is in the red tutu.)
We hit Oktoberfest Friday night. It was so much fun!
We met up with the neighbors. Andy and Addison are trouble for sure.
That blur is Lauren doing down the big slide over and over and over again!
Addison loved it too.
The girls enjoyed cotton candy...
The adults enjoyed some beer...
Then we found these girls..Jenna and Emma, and the real fun began. (Love the blurry I-Phone picture of Addison and her crazy face.)
Lauren and Riley rode the Dumbo ride...
and so did the little girls...I LOVE Addison's smile/laugh/screaming in this picture.
Another beer for the long walk to the car.
Saturday night was the BBQ/Beer making party with our neighbors. Brandon, our neighbor, brews beer. Per Mark, it is very good. I never like Brandon's beer. I am more of a "it better not taste like beer" kind of beer drinker (Angry Orchard, Apple Cider is my kind of beer.)
Then it was birthday party at Paradise Park (after church and school picture clothes shopping.)
Paradise Park is always fun. They loved the bumper cars.
Then I found Addison here...asleep...who knows how long she had been there! But, I picked her up, took her to her bed, and she stayed asleep the rest of the night!
