ABC's

Tonight Lauren sang her ABC's probably 10 times all the way through. She was so excited, jumping up and down singing. Mark and I were quite shocked that she got all the way through with no mistakes and very proud of her! Of course, L,M,N,O,P all ran together but I think that is pretty normal! Maybe if she is not too shy she will sing it for you next time you see her.

5 Years already!

Mark and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary this weekend. It has gone by so fast. We enjoyed a dinner at the Melting Pot on the Plaza. If you have not been there I highly recommend it. It is a nice romantic place for dinner. Mark made it even better by having a dozen roses waiting for me on the table when we arrived. We had our own private room for dinner complete with a drape to pull across the door. Very romantic!

Lauren enjoyed spending the evening with Gramps and Nana "B." Nana taught Lauren "Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, KU." Hopefully if will bring them some luck next weekend. Go KU!

Lauren is going to be a Big Sister!!!

In case you missed the message in your e-mail Lauren is going to be a big sister. I am 12 weeks pregnant, due Oct 6th! It has been really hard to keep it quiet for so many weeks. We have been trying to prepare Lauren for the new baby and some days she is very excited to be a big sister and other days she says "no baby." We know it will change things in so many ways but Mark and I are very excited to add to our family!

We will keep you posted on the progress, and no we are not going to find out the sex of the baby. We want it to be a surprise again. So keep us is your thoughts and prayers.

Bunny Scared

On Thursday Lauren had her Easter party at daycare. It included an Easter egg hunt, lots of yummy snacks and of course the Easter bunny. When I got home from work all Lauren said all night was "Bunny Scared, Scared Bunny." Are you surprised that she did not like the Easter bunny? We told her that the bunny went bye-bye and there was no more Easter bunny. After I put her to bed I went to check on her and she was still awake. She looked at me and said "Bunny scared." Poor little girl. I felt so bad for her. The next day at daycare the teacher said all the toddlers cried and were scared of the Easter bunny. Maybe next year! Have a Happy Easter everyone!

Crown Center

Today we headed down to Crown Center for the afternoon to check out the "What do you want to be when you grow up" display. It included a hospital, a space ship, a garage, restaurant, circus, the president's office, a lab, barber shop, school, and many other things. If you have the chance to go I would recommend it. Lauren had a blast. As you can see here, she wants to be a surfer! We also enjoyed a snack at Fritz's, the train restaurant.

Lauren putting out the fire. She was so cute doing this!
