Father Daughter Dance

The Father/Daughter Dance was a few weekends ago.  I have been so busy posting things about Lauren's birthday that I have not had the chance to talk about this.  It took a lot of talk to get the girls excited about the Father/Daughter Dance since these 2 prefer to hang out with me every chance they get.  But, once they got there they danced the night away and LOVED it.

They know it is important to me to grab a few pictures of each and every thing we do.  They were a little difficult, but finally I got some good pictures.

Especially after I let them loosen up a little and do some dancing and some cheer poses for the pictures.

However, the pictures I snapped on my camera then edited with Instagram are some of my absolute favorite.

The dance was put on by the Lee's Summit Parks and Rec department.  It included dinner, dancing, and a picture with Dad.  Lauren and Addison came home with a rose and a goodie bag as well.  They danced the night away and had so much fun.  Mark sent me several pictures and videos from the night and I was so jealous that I was not there with them.

I had big plans to go out to dinner with a friend, maybe scrapbook a little, or so some shopping.  Well, I ended up going to Wal-Mart and Hy-vee and eating cereal for dinner.  It was a perfect night!

The girls came home shortly before 9:00 and had so much to tell me about the night.  I am so glad we did this for the girls, as it will be a tradition for many years to come.  A great memory to have for Mark and the girls.
