Great Wolf Lodge

Over Christmas break we snuck away to GWL for a few days.  We have done this a few times now and the girls really seem to enjoy it. 

As always, as soon as we arrive to any hotel, the girls start jumping on the beds.  Best memory ever as a kid.  Jumping on hotel beds because we couldn't jump on the beds at home.  

We were able to check in as soon as we arrived, so we got settled, changed, and headed to the pool.  

Addison and Mark went to the Lazy River. 

Lauren hit the slides...she gets braver and braver each visit. 

Addison stuck to the baby pool for a while...

and the smaller slides.  She loves them, and doesn't get ran over by the boys on the bigger slides.  

Then it was snack time...Christmas sugar cookies.

Then we headed to the room and changed and headed out to dinner at Granite City.  Then it was back to the pool and more swimming that night.  

Then PJ's and ice cream.  Yummy.

There is so much to do at GWL.  We went to the arcade Monday morning before swimming...again....

Lauren is really getting good at snapping pictures with my big camera.

Then we hit the pool for a few more hours before heading home.  Lauren made a new friend (twice actually.)  Mark and I ran into college friends...

and Mark and Addison had fun in the hot tub.

It was a great little get away in the middle of Christmas vacation.  Can't wait to go back again.  

Great Wolf Lodge- All the Other Things to do Besides Swimming

So I just realized I never got around to posting the rest of the pictures from Great Wolf Lodge.  So here it is...everything else (in pictures) you can do at GWL besides swimming! 

 

Great Wolf Lodge- Swimming Fun

We spent last week at Great Wolf Lodge.  Ever since we went back in 2011 with Mark's family, the girls have been begging to go back!  

We arrived Wednesday night and hit the pools right away!

Lauren did these logs over and over and over again...and I tell you she is super fast and super strong.  Fastest girl there for sure, and faster than most of the boys!  

Addison thought she was hot stuff "swimming" all around last week in her life jacket and swimming on her own.  She wore the life jacket the whole time and did not want any help swimming!  

Even in the kiddie pool where it was like 1 foot deep, she kept on her life jacket...

And went down the red slide over and over and over again.  She loved it!

We also spent a lot of time in the hot tub.   It was huge and felt great.

This big snake was a fun for Lauren as well.

This little diva knows how to turn it on for the camera.

I love the bikinis that we found this summer.  Both girls look super cute!

Both nights we stayed in the pool area until it closed at 9:00.  The girls loved swimming and having so many choices of pool and activities.  When we got back up to our room Wednesday night, this was the sunset from the balcony in our room.  It was absolutely gorgeous.
