We love the St. Patty's day 4 mile run in Westport. It is laid back, fun, relaxed, and everyone has on crazy clothes. Mark, Matt and Shannon wore kilts today at the race. The girls loved it.
We hung out in Kelly's bar before the race and caught up with all our regular running buddies. Andy and Sheri from down the street, Courtney and Andrew from next door, and of course Shannon and Matt.
Yes, I had my girls in Kelly's bar before (and after) the race. Very strange, but fun. After the race it was crazy packed and the girls had no business being in there...so out we went. Before the race it was fine. Not nearly as crazy and not nearly as much beer being consumed.
Lauren insisted on getting in the picture with the guys before they took off.
After they started we hung out at the starting line and the girls got their faces painted. Addison was SO CUTE.
We found a great place, up a few stairs, to look for Mark and the guys right when the race started! Do you see Mark waving?
Lauren was a butterfly...and hers actually stayed on better since it was up by her eye.
We went into Panera and got a snack (and used a clean bathroom!) Remember how much Addison loves cinnamon rolls?
Lauren danced at the finish line waiting for Mark and the boys to finish.
Then we got some pizza. My girls can eat.
The boys went back into Kelly's for a beer, so we hung out out front. It was so crazy inside after the race that I walked through and then back out with the girls.
We sat here. We saw Courtney and Andrew and waited for Mark...we had fun :)
These two are the best. What a great way to start the weekend!
