I really can't say enough about Mark as a father to these girls. He is simply amazing. They both adore him and I love the relationship he has with both of them.
At the old house we planted trees the year the girls were born. Honestly, that was the hardest part about leaving the old house was the memory of those trees and watching them and the girls grow. When we moved to the new house Mark knew it was important to me to plant trees as soon as possible...and to carry on the tradition of taking pictures in next to the trees on Father's Day each year. Even if that means it is blazing hot and they are looking into the sun for the picture. Thanks guys for being good sports.
Yep, the sun is still shining in their faces!
We headed to downtown Lee's Summit to enjoy breakfast at Neighbors Cafe. It is amazing! If you have not been there, I highly recommend it. Downtown Lee's Summit is a great place with so many unique shops.
Pictures in the shade with the brick background was so much better! Mark and Lauren's relationship continues to grow more and more each day. They share a love of Royals games and soccer. Mark can help Lauren with her math homework as well. These two always have a great time hanging out together.
Addison and Mark enjoy reading together. For some reason, when Mark tells Addison it is time to read she is ready and excited! They especially love reading the bible together! Mark is also really good at playing Barbie's with Addison and she loves that!
These girls have no idea how much I treasure their love for their Dad. He adores them as well. I can only hope their relationship with him will continue to grow and be just as strong as it is now.
And because they were so cooperative with all my pictures...here is one of the fun/silly ones! Love these two silly girls!
Can't forget about Ginger. While at times she might be a little scared of Mark and his discipline, I know she adores him as well!
Happy Father's Day to an amazing Dad and Husband!
