Christmas with the Family

Friday we headed to my parents to celebrate Christmas with the family.  It's always crazy having all the girls at Gramps and Nana's house, but it's fun for sure!

Lauren assumed her duty watching and playing with Sophie, and Addison and Claire took off to play right away.

My Mom let  the girls open gifts from Santa before dinner.  

I begged for a good picture of the 4 of them before they could open presents.  This one turned out great!

The girls enjoyed opening their gifts from Santa and their stockings full of treasures. 

Addison and Lauren both got salon chairs for their American Girl dolls, which they loved. 

Then we had dinner before opening the rest of the gifts.  Sophie decided to cuddle with Uncle Mark for a while after dinner.

Then these 2 were doing their own thing, posing like crazy, so I zoomed in on the two of them.  They are a hoot and have so much fun together. 

Addison was just a little excited to open more gifts after dinner. 

Lauren was too.  She did a great job handing out all the gifts. 

Then if was a free for all opening gifts.  

I have no idea who bought what for Lauren and Addison.  

I have no idea what Addison was so excited about, but it must have been good! 

Claire enjoyed the Monster High Dolls that we got her! 

One last crazy one of these cousins.  It was a great day celebrating with family.  Merry Christmas everyone. 

Cousins

Along with Mother's Day this past weekend our cousins from Omaha were in town.  Rae Ann and Emma swim on competitive teams and had a meet down in Lee's Summit.  We spent most of the day Saturday trying to figure out when they were swimming so we could go up and see them.  Emma is on the top left picture, Rae Ann on the top right picture.  Lauren was sitting with Aunt Chris going through the schedule trying it figure out when the girls would be swimming next.  There was a lot of time in between events so we filled our time going to parks and hanging out out front.  

Emma swam first Saturday morning, so Rae Ann hung out with us at home and tried to sleep in.  Although, mornings start very early at our house!  

After we saw Emma swim in the morning we headed back home for lunch, after stopping at the park first.  Lauren climbed up this rock wall several times.  She loved it and is actually very strong and very athletic.  

Addison stay on the equipment more and went up and down the slides.  

We had Orange Leaf for snack before heading back to the pool to see Rae Ann swim.  Both girls did an awesome job on Saturday.  

Our girls adore Rae Ann.  You know, she is that older cousin you look up to and want to be like.  

She is an amazing influence on Lauren.  Rae Ann spent some free time reading when she was not playing with the girls.  Soon, Lauren went and got her books so she could read just like Rae Ann.  Then Addison went and got her books too!  It was so great to see all the girls reading.
