Many of my blog readers have requested a virtual tour of our new house, so here you go! The pictures are not great as I am just way to busy to take pics with my nice fancy camera, upload them off my camera and then wait for them to upload on the blog. With the blogger app, I can take pictures with my phone, get them on the blog (from my phone) and then blog away. So, not the best quality pictures, but pictures none the less!
Here it is. Steep driveway and all. We don't care. We are used to a steep driveway. The house showed 23 times and then we came along...we didn't mind the driveway. For those of you that don't know....we almost built this house last fall. We found it after the roof was on it and 2 x 4's were up. We thought long and hard about it and decided last fall was not the right time to move...so when we saw that it was done this Spring we told ourselves we would not go and look at it...because we knew we would fall in love with it. Well long story short, we sold our house on Face book. Yes, on Face book. It was not even on the market. But things fell into place and here we are now! It is starting to feel more like home. We have been here for 6 weeks, although it feels like much longer. So, here is a little tour....
From the front door, it is a open floor plan on the 1st floor. Dining room to your right, kitchen straight ahead, and the living room to the left.
The dining room has come together nicely with the pop of color that I put in there. So far, we love it. Can't wait to find a few more pieces for the finishing touches.
The living room (looking from the kitchen.) We love the fireplace and the big wall of windows. This room is bigger that we thought,but we filled it up!
The kitchen is an absolute dream. Tons of counter space, huge island, huge walk in pantry. Mud room off the garage, half bathroom, smaller pantry for cleaning supplies, and tons of cabinet space.
We fell in love with the kitchen once we saw the finished product. It is one of my favorite rooms in the house.
Addison's room was painted purple before we moved in!
The girls share a jack & jill bathroom which they love.
Lauren's zebra room made the move to the new house. It came together nicely over here. Both girls have nice walk-in closets as well.
There is a 4th bedroom in the front of the house for our guests....
Complete with their own full bath and shower.
The master suite is amazing. We got a new king size bed,which we love. The bathroom has 2 separate vanities, a great size shower, jet tub, and a separate toilet room. I am not even going to show you the master closet. Let's just say it is the same size as the girls bedrooms. Crazy ridiculous big...but we love it.
We had the builder finish the basement for us. We wanted to have an additional space for a living area and the girls toys. This view is from the back of the basement looking towards the front. The built in we had done turned out amazing! We have tons of storage space down here, a bathroom, plus a 5th bedroom that we will make into an office as soon as we have the desk custom made as well. Things are starting to come together and it is starting to feel more like home as the time passes.
