Winding Down...

School it out, soccer is over, Girl Scouts are done, church class has ended for the year..but dance still continues on!  We are very busy with all of the dance madness right now.  Mock dress rehearsal, Mom/dot practice, Finale practice, Downtown days performances, pictures, and their weekly classes.
The girls have enjoyed dance this year and have learn a lot and excelled in all of their classes.  But, we are all ready for recital and a break from everything!

Lauren has 4 performances this year at recital.  This is her ballet costume.  I think she looks so pretty.

Somehow I managed to get Addison's hair into a side pony tail for her jazz routine to Hey Mickey.

This ballet costume is one of my favorite ones yet.  It is so pretty and sparkly.

Even though she doesn't want to go to dance some nights, she usually has a smile on her face once she is out there dancing.

This is her costume for the Mom/dot dance.  We have had fun practicing and getting ready for our performance.

Addison had 3 performances at Downtown Days and this was one of the few times she had a smile on her face.  It was so hot outside and we were all miserable.  I took her tights off right before going up on stage, but she was still hot.  Needless to say, we left after that performance and went home to hit the pool!

See, that same smile...she loves this costume as well!

Lauren's tap routine to Hard Knock Life is one of my favorite.  This costume is perfect for the performance and all of the girls do a really good job. Lauren seems to especially love this routine as well.

However, jazz is by far her favorite class.  She is dancing to Love Shack this year and seems to have a lot of attitude and smiles while up on stage.  This is one of her favorite costumes.

Along with her Finale costume.  I love this one!  Lauren has enjoyed being involved in the Finale production with close to 100 girls in the routine.  They are broken up into 5 different groups and each group is up on stage at different times. It has been really fun to watch all the practices and see it come together.

Lauren (and well Addison too) love having make up on for dress rehearsal, downtown days, and picture day.  Lauren ended up doing most of her make up on her own and she did a great job!

This was Addison's choice for her favorite costume and favorite pose. I am pretty sure it will be her Halloween costume next year!

This is only half of Addison's Jazz class, but they all looked adorable in their costumes.

I love her smile and the fun she has in her jazz class each week.  Lauren has really enjoyed all of her classes this year and learned a lot in each class! Recital is in a few short weeks and it will be a very busy 2 days with 21 performances in all.  I will be one tired Mom...that's for sure!  But, I can't wait.  We will all have fun!
