Summer 2013

School starts Wednesday and I can't believe it!  This summer flew and was one of my favorite summers yet!  Every weekend was filled with fun!

JUNE:

Started out with my amazing Hospital Hill half marathon PR! 

Then a Sporting KC soccer game that night...

and a wedding shower for Courtney Sunday afternoon.  

The next weekend Addison performed at Downtown Days in Lee's Summit.  

Then we enjoyed the carnival, food, and arts and crafts booths.  

The next weekend we were off to Tulsa to visit family...

The girls had a blast.  

Next in June was Addison Recital!  It was the 3rd weekend in June and that was a fun but exhausting weekend.  

Then we enjoyed a stay cation with the girls.  

We hit Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun on a VERY HOT day.  OOF was definitely more fun.  

Then it was off to Great Wolf lodge for a few days...

and dinner a T-Rex.  

JULY:  

We had a great 3rd and 4th of July.  We hung out with friends in town on the 3rd of July...

Then we headed up to Omaha for the 4th of July...

Then it was off to Chicago...just Mark and I!  

The girls had a blast in Omaha with their cousins...

While we were in the Riviera Maya, soaking up the sun...

That was so much fun.  

A few days after we got back it was time for Courtney's wedding!  The girls were beautiful.  

The next weekend we hit the Royals game!  

Then it was off to Des Moines for the surprise party.  

We spent some time playing with the neighbors too!  

AUGUST:  

August started out with a weekend filled with girl scout camp.  

A birthday for Sophie!  

A Girl Scout swimming party....

which Lauren loved :)  

This was the official last weekend of summer before school starts Wednesday!  The girls both had play dates Saturday morning.  Mark golfed on Saturday and I took the girls to Paradise Park, out to dinner and Orange Leaf.  Mark and Lauren hit the pool today, while Addison and I went shopping.  I will have to say it has been a great summer and I really don't want it to end...We are hoping to go camping this weekend (we finally bought a tent and hopefully everything we need to camp) since the girls have been begging to go camping, stay in a tent, overnight ALL NIGHT.  Wish us luck!
