Aiden turned 6! He is the son of some of our dearest friends from college. We only see them a few times a year, but Lauren and Aiden have so much fun together each time they see each other. Here he is with his Dad, Shannon. Shannon is Mark's running buddy. They do a lot of races together.
We enjoyed a Pirate themed party at the Lakeside Nature Center near the Zoo. It was a nice open room for the kids to play, do games, arts and crafts, and enjoy the animals.
This is Liam, Mark's God Son and Aiden's baby brother. He is such a good baby!
After the arts and crafts the staff from the Nature Center brought out 3 animals. An owl, snake and a bunny. The kids were told several unique characteristics about each of the animals. Some of the kids knew ALOT about these animals already. It was a very cool presentation and learning experience for everyone.
Both girls said they liked the bunny the most, although Lauren said she liked petting the snake. They were not able to pet the owl, but they were able to hold and pass around an owl wing.
It was great birthday party. The kids had a blast, and it was fun to catch up with Amy and Shannon. Happy 6th Birthday Aiden!
